How to create and assign a task (single task)?

Normally, to complete an activity you need to complete all related tasks. There are two kinds of tasks in the system - Single Tasks and Recurring Tasks.

Note: Users with a Team Member role can create only sub-tasks.

To create and assign a Single Task:

  1. Open a project > Select an activity > Select Add Tasks button.

2. In the Create New Task dialog box, select Task Type > Single.

3. Give your task a name in the Name box.

4. Use the Deadline box to select a target deadline.

5. Select an assignee in the Add Assignees box.

Note: A task can have more than one assignee.

6. In the Followers box, select the people you want to be informed about the status of the task, but are not directly responsible for it.

Tip: You can also send an email notification to all assignees by selecting the email icon or Send email to all notified.

7. To attach a link or a file, select the respective tab and Browse for Files / Add Link

8. When done, select Save Task.

You can also create a new task using the menu next to an activity.
