How to escalate a problem related to a task?

When you work with tasks, issues would inevitably arise and sometimes you will need help making a decision.

A common scenario:

A task assignee requests too long of an extension of their deadline and you are not sure how this would affect the overall product delivery. So you so-called escalate or involve a third party that can resolve the matter.

In Havelock, you escalate problems by writing a comment. A task’s Comments section is where related communication happens and all issues are resolved.

To add a comment and escalate an issue:

Note: You would normally receive a notification related to a task and open it to see the issue at hand. Of course, you can simply add a comment.

  1. Select a task-related comment notification you want to open from the list.

This will take you to the task’s Comments section.

2. Select Add Comment button.

In the Add New Comment form, write your comment.

3. To add a new comment recipient, either use the @ symbol in the body of your text or the Add Person to be Notified dropdown list.

You can also reply to a comment (instead of writing a new one) by selecting the arrow icon.

When done, select Add Comment.
